Eligibility
To be considered as a member of the ICT Hall of Fame, an individual’s record of achievement must demonstrate:
- Successful accomplishments,
- Courageous thinking, and actions,
- Vision and innovation,
- Inspiring leadership,
- Community mindedness.
In addition to the above, ICT Hall of Fame members must serve as a role model for those who follow. They must also have been actively involved in Kenya’s ICT fraternity for a minimum of five years.
Future nominations to the ICT Hall of Fame will be made online by members of the ICT fraternity in Kenya. From July 2007, visitors to the ICTvillage.com website have been invited to nominate people to be inducted to the Kenya ICT Hall of Fame in 2008.
Thereafter the 2008 ICT Hall of Fame Review Panel, under the auspices of Deloitte & Touche in association with the Ministry of Information & Communications, will prepare a shortlist that ensures diversity among those selected as finalists, for example: race, gender, industry, geography, size of organization, etc.
Once the finalists have been selected from the list of nominees, the current members of the ICT Hall of Fame will vote to induct one new member from among the finalists of each respective category. The five new inductees will then be presented to the ICT fraternity at the next ICT Champions Gala in June 2008.
